Media Release December 11,2025 - Arson

The Kawartha Lakes Police are actively seeking the persons responsible for an Arson which occurred on December 10, 2025, at The Vape Store – 370 Kent Street West, Lindsay.

Just before 3am police received a burglary alarm call to the business, and upon arrival found that the front door had been broken and an active fire inside.  Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue were able to quickly extinguish the fire and de-activate the fire suppression systems to adjacent units.

There were no injuries and three businesses received fire and water damage as a result.  The property damage was estimated at over $100,000.

The Criminal Investigations Branch is currently investigating the incident.  A light-coloured SUV was observed on surveillance cameras leaving the area and is believed to be involved.
