Impaired Driving Arrest

‍ ‍

On Thursday July 2nd 2026 at approximately 4:50pm Kawartha Lakes Police Service were on general patrol when they came across a minor motor vehicle collision in the area of Sussex Street and Kent Street in Lindsay.   Further investigation revealed that one of the drivers, a 52 – year – old female from Lindsay was impaired.   The driver was subsequently arrested and she was charged with the following offences:

·         Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs

‍ ‍

·         Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

‍ ‍

·         Driving while under suspension

‍ ‍

·         Fail to surrender Insurance card

‍ ‍

In addition to the charges the driver received a 90 -day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7-days.

‍ ‍

The accused will all appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
