Assault Suspect Outstanding
On Sunday, October 15, 2023 at approximately 2:00am officers were called to an assault on York Street. Officers learned that a verbal confrontation between two males inside a business had become physical, resulting in one male suffering injuries. When confronted outside the business, the suspect brandished a knife before fleeing the area. The victim was transported to the Ross Memorial Hospital for his injuries.

Stolen Vehicle Investigation
Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating after a vehicle was stolen from a Russell Street West parking lot.
On Sunday, October 15, 2023, officers were made aware of the vehicle theft. It is reported that the vehicle was taken from a parking lot on Russell Street West, sometime between 3:50pm and 4:15pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023. The vehicle is described as being a white, 2021 Dodge Ram pick-up truck with Quebec license plate “J09WJE.”

Impaired Drive Arrested
On Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 9:30pm a Kawartha Lakes Police Service constable stopped a vehicle travelling on Colborne Street West to investigate the driver for a traffic violation. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment. After conducting an investigation, the driver was arrested. As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Verulam Township woman has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 23, 2023.
Assault with a Weapon Suspect Sought
At approximately 3:15am on Monday, October 16, 2023, officers were called to a William Street North residence for an assault. Officer learned that a verbal confrontation occurred between multiple parties and one brandished a machete, striking the victim. The victim was transported to the Ross Memorial Hospital for his injuries, where he was treated and later released.
This incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Branch of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service.
