Robbery arrest

Two teenagers have been charged with robbery after an incident early Saturday morning.

At approximately 12:30am on October 7, 2023, officers were called to a business on William Street North. Upon arrival, officers learned that two individuals in disguise had entered the store, brandishing a hatchet. After demanding cash from the clerk, they fled the store and were located and arrested a short distance away by police. No one was injured during the incident.

As a result of the investigation,

A 16-year-old male is charged with:

• Robbery with weapon
• Disguise with intent

A 13-year-old male is charged with:

• Robbery with weapon
• Disguise with intent

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 21, 2023.
