Kawartha Lakes Police Service Officially Joins the Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard
Kawartha Lakes, ON — The Kawartha Lakes Police Service (KLPS) is proud to announce its official onboarding onto the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard (PBCD), a cutting-edge tool designed to enhance public safety and support frontline policing efforts across Ontario.
The PBCD is a situational awareness and investigative resource managed by the OPP. It provides real-time, cross-jurisdictional data to assist police services in monitoring individuals released on bail for firearms-related offences. By joining this province-wide initiative, KLPS strengthens its commitment to proactive policing and community safety.
“The integration of the Provincial Bail Compliance Dashboard into our operations marks a significant step forward in our ability to monitor bail compliance and respond swiftly to potential violations,” said Kirk Robertson, Chief of Police, Kawartha Lakes Police Service. “This tool enhances the safety of our officers and the public by ensuring we have access to critical information about individuals on bail for serious offences.”
The dashboard is available to all police services in Ontario and plays a vital role in reinforcing collaborative efforts to improve bail compliance and reduce risks associated with firearms-related crimes.
