Novice Driver Violations
On July 20, 2025, at around 3:00am an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Francis Street and William Street North in Lindsay, ON.
During the stop the officer observed signs of alcohol consumption in the vehicle and conducted an impaired driving investigation. As a result, a 19-year-old from Fenelon Township was charged with:
· Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero
· Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Weapons
On July 21, 2025 police responded to a Kent Street West business in Lindsay for a report of a male in front of the business yelling and slashing at the air with a knife. Officers arrived on scene and located the male who was taken into custody without incident. The immediate area of the arrest was searched and a box cutter style knife was seized.
As a result of the investigation a 30-year-old male from Lindsay was charged with:
· Causing a disturbance
· Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
