Impaired driver arrested

On Monday June 12, 2023 at approximately 2:30pm, Kawartha Lakes Police received a report about a vehicle being operated by a possible impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle in the area of Kent Street West and Highway 35 North in Lindsay. While speaking with the driver, the officer determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and placed him under arrest. The driver was transported to the police station for breath tests which revealed he had almost three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.  A 45-year-old Woodville male is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 20, 2023.
