Two females arrested for theft

On Monday May 1, 2023, at 11:57am the Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a Kent Street West business for a report of stolen property. Store staff observed two females in the store concealing items inside shopping bags before exiting the store without paying. Officers attended the area and with the assistance of the complainant located the suspects inside another business. As a result of the investigation, two 29-year-old Lindsay women are charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. Both accused parties will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on scheduled dates of June 8^th and June 15^th, 2023.
