Domestic Violence Incidents

Early Wednesday morning on May 15th 2024, at approximately 5:00am the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a domestic disturbance call in the area of Peel Street in Lindsay.  As a result of the incident a female was transported to Ross Memorial Hospital with injuries and later released.

As a result of the investigation a 40-year-old male from Lindsay was arrested and charged with:

  • Overcome resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle another person
  • Assault cause bodily harm – spousal

Later on, May 15th 2024, at approximately 11pm Kawartha Lakes Police Service officers responded to another domestic disturbance call in the area of Ridout street.  As a result of the incident a male was transported to Ross Memorial Hospital with injuries.

As a result of the investigation a 37-year-old female from Lindsay was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Assault with a weapon – spousal
  • Assault cause bodily harm – spousal
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.

 

Warrant executed:

Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch with the assistance of The Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Community Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant in the area of Pottinger street in Lindsay early this morning.

At approximately 3:30am on May 16th  2024, the search warrant was executed and as a result of the investigation approximately $5,200 street value worth of illegal drugs were seized.

 

 

As a result of the warrant and investigation a 41-year-old male from Lindsay was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking

A 35-year-old male from Lindsay was also arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
