City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service Media Release

Drug Warrant Leads to Arrest and Charges.
Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch with the assistance of The Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit and Community Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant in Lindsay early this morning.
As a result of the investigation the following was seized:
- Fentanyl 31.2 grams
- Cocaine 32.2 grams
- Canadian Currency ($1,060.00)
Approximate street value of $10,000 in drugs seized.
A young offender who cannot be named was charged with the following:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime Under $5,000
The young offender was held in custody for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
