Kawartha Lakes Police Service Media Release January 29th , 2024

Stabbing Arrest

On Sunday January 28th, 2024 shortly after 11pm the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to an apartment building located in Lindsay to a report of a stabbing.  Officers located a male suffering from multiple lacerations.   He was treated at Ross Memorial Hospital and later released.  Officers located two male suspects in the area and both were arrested and charged criminally.  Further investigation resulted in a third male also being arrested and charged criminally.

As a result of the investigation the following people have been arrested and charged:

David Dunn a 29-year-old Barrie resident was charged with Assault with A Weapon and Assault Causing Bodily Harm.

Asher Ralph-Farrell a 29-year-old Toronto resident was charged with Assault with A Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Dashawn Powell a 24-year-old Lindsay resident was charged with Assault with A Weapon X2, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Break, Enter a place-commit indictable offence.

The accused are all scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 440 Kent St W in Lindsay on January 29th, 2024.
