Firearm offence arrest

On Tuesday January 16^th, 2024 the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, Criminal Investigations Branch was conducting surveillance in Lindsay for a male wanted on three separate arrest warrants all in relation to firearm offences.  The male was observed and was subsequently arrested.  He was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and a large quantity of drugs including Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Fentanyl.  Further investigation revealed that he was with another male whom he was on criminal conditions to not be around.  This second male was also arrested and found to be in possession of a large quantity of Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Fentanyl.

As a result of the investigation a 35-year-old Lindsay resident was charged with several Firearms and drug related offences.  The second male is a 19-year-old Port Perry resident, he also faces several Firearms and drug related charges.

The accused are both scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 440 Kent St W in Lindsay on January 17th, 2024.
