Break and enter suspect sought

Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating after Lindsay business was entered twice in as many days.

The business was entered late Sunday July 23 and again in the overnight hours of July 24th. The suspect(s) entered the business through a window and stole office equipment before fleeing the area. A Crime Scene Officer attended to collect physical evidence from the scene.

Impaired driver arrested

On Monday July 24, 2023 at approximately 6:30pm Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a vehicle being operated by a possible impaired driver on Lindsay Street South. Officers attended the area, located and stopped the vehicle. While speaking with the driver the officer observed signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest for operation while impaired. As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Toronto man has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on August 31, 2023.
