Charges laid in stabbing incident

A 28-year-old Lindsay male is facing charges in connection with a stabbing incident Monday morning.

On Monday July 17, 2023, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service entered into an investigation after a male was stabbed in an unproved attack on William Street North in Lindsay early Monday morning. As a result of an investigation conducted by the uniform division and Criminal Investigation Branch, officers identified and arrested the accused. 28-year-old Michael Thomas has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault cause bodily harm and fail to comply with probation order X2.

The accused is being held in custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay today, July 18, 2023.
