Break and enter investigation
The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating after a number of tools were reported stolen from a construction site in the Angeline Street North and Kent Street West area. Officers learned that sometime throughout the night of Wednesday, May 17 and 7:00am Thursday, May 18, the property was entered and construction equipment was stolen.

Assault
On Friday May 18, 2023 at approximately 3:00am Kawartha Lakes Police officers respond to a family dispute. Upon arrival the complainant requested that an unwanted, intoxicated family member be removed from the home. The female refused to leave when requested and struck an officer. The female has been charged with, assault peace officer. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West on June 29, 2023.
