Female arrested for theft

On December 31, 2021 at 10:23am Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a Kent Street West business for a theft report. Store staff observed a female as she concealed items in her coat and purse before attempting to leave the store without paying. Staff stopped her and contacted police who attended and arrested the female. At the time of arrest the female was wanted on a warrant for breach of probation.  Charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and breach of probation is 29-year-old Aleshia Nelson of Lindsay. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 10, 2022.

 

Impaired driver

On January 1, 2022 at 6:41pm Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle on Riverside Drive, while speaking with the driver the officer determined the driver was impaired and placed him under arrest. 69-year-old Larry Greves of OPS TWP is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle – alcohol and drugs. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 10, 2022.

 

Mischief

On January 1, 2022 at 10:29pm Kawartha Lake Police responded to a disturbance call on Kent Street West in Lindsay. Officers located an agitated male who was pulling apart and smashing decorative stone work from the front of a business. 30-year-old Blake Lanham of OPS TWP is charged with mischief under $5000. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located a 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 10, 2022.
