Impaired Driving Arrest

On Sunday August 18th, 2024 at approximately 7:30pm Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a call regarding a possible impaired driver in a parking lot of a business in Lindsay.   Police located the vehicle a short time later.  Further investigation revealed that the driver, a 22-year-old male from England was impaired.  The driver was arrested and he was charged with the following offence:

• Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

In addition to the charges the driver received a 90 -day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7-days.

The accused will all appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
