Impaired Driving Arrest

On Friday August 9th, 2024 at approximately 1:20am Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a call regarding a motor vehicle collision.  Upon arrival police learned that a vehicle had struck another vehicle parked on a street in Lindsay.  Further investigation revealed that the 48-year-old male driver from Lindsay was impaired.  He was subsequently arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
• Operation while Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

In addition to the charges the driver received a 90 -day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7-days.

The accused will all appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
