Break and enter investigation

The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating a break and enter at a William Street South business in Lindsay. Sometime between 2:30PM on February 15 and 7:55AM on February 16, unknown suspects entered the business, taking electronics and a quantity of cash. Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service at 705.324.5252. Impaired driver arrested

On Friday February 17, 2023 at 12:37AM the Kawartha Lakes Police Service received a call from a concerned citizen reporting a possible impaired driver. The caller, reported the vehicle struck multiple parked vehicles in a parking lot on Melbourne Street East in Lindsay. Officers located the vehicle and while speaking with the driver, observed signs of impairment. As a result of an investigation the driver was placed under arrest. 44-year-old Peter Green of Lindsay has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.  The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on March 30, 2023.
