Break and enter investigation

Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating the second commercial break and enter this week.

On Thursday, January 12, 2023 at approximately 7:20AM the suspect smashed the rear door glass gaining entry to the Kent Street West business in Lindsay. While inside the suspect took a quantity of cash before exiting the business. The suspect is described as; approximately 5’8 – 5’10 tall, thin build, black pants, grey hooded sweater and a black hooded coat.

Shoplifter charged

On Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 2:10PM, Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a Kent Street West business in Lindsay for a shoplifter. Store staff observed a male take merchandise and exit the store without paying. Officers attended that area, located and arrested the suspect who was found in possession of the stolen property. 31-year-old Mark English of Lindsay is charged with theft under $5000, possession of stolen property under $5000 and fail to comply with probation order. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 23, 2023.
