Drug arrest

On Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at 9:26AM the Kawartha Lakes Police received a call from a concerned citizen about a driver asleep in a vehicle in a parking lot on William Street South in Lindsay.  Upon arrival officers located the male passed out in the driver’s seat of the running vehicle. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of drugs, suspected to be methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine. 39-year-old Rickey Patrick of Woodville has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance X3.  The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 16, 2023.

 

Theft arrest

On Monday, January 9th, 2023 at 4:20AM the Kawartha Lakes Police were called to the parking lot of York Street business in Lindsay for a suspicious male observed exiting a work truck carrying a bag. Officers attended the area, with the assistance of a witness located and arrested the male who was found to be in possession of stolen property.  31-year-old Mark English of Lindsay has been charged with theft under $5000 from a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and fail to comply with probation order X2. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 16, 2023.
