Impaired driver arrested

On December 8, 2022 at 9:03PM a Kawartha Lakes Police officer on patrol observed a vehicle travelling on Adelaide Street North in Lindsay. The driver travelled northbound, failing to stop at the red light at the intersection of Adelaide Street North and Colborne Street West. The driver proceeded through the red light and continued to drive erratically. As a result, the vehicle was stopped. While speaking with the driver the officer observed signs of impairment and the driver was arrested for impaired driving.          36-year-old Ryan Hanniman of Cameron has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code and two Highway Traffic Act infractions. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West on January 19, 2023.
