Stolen vehicle recovered in Cornwall

On Monday, November 14, 2022 at 7:16AM Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a Kent Street West parking lot for the report of a stolen vehicle. The complaint parked the vehicle at approximately 6:00AM and upon their return discovered the vehicle had been stolen and called police. At 8:44PM Kawartha Lakes Police were notified by Cornwall Police Service, they have recovered the stolen vehicle and have a female in custody for theft of the vehicle.

 

Threat charges

On November 14, 2022 at 9:11PM Kawartha Lakes Police responded to an alarm at a Lindsay Street South business. When they arrived, officered learned that an unwanted customer had threatened the store employee. Officers searched the area, located and arrested the suspect. 79-year-old Doug Allen of Lindsay has been charged with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on December 22, 2022.
