Robbery Arrest

On Tuesday October 25, 2022, at approximately 5:00AM the suspect entered a Lindsay Street South business wearing a black bandana covering his face and demanded money. The suspect pushed a plexiglass partition on top of an employee, taking money from the cash register. The suspect exited the business and fled northbound on Lindsay Street South.

Police were called and attended the area. With the assistance of witness, officers located and arrested the suspect at a residence on Lindsay Street. The suspect discarded items of clothing in an attempt to elude police, which were located by officers searching the area. The complainant suffered minor injuries as a result of this incident.

23-year-old Trent Sharpe of Little Britain has been charged with robbery with violence and disguise with intent. The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 27, 2022.
