Impaired driver arrested

On August 29, 2022 at 7:06pm the Kawartha Lakes Police received a report from a concerned citizen about a vehicle being operated by a possible impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle in the area of Lindsay Street South in Lindsay. After conducting an investigation, the officer determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and placed under arrest. 40-yeaer-old Lucas Southorn of Lindsay has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus and one charge in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 6, 2022.
