Break and enter charges
On Tuesday June 14, 2022 at 9:34pm Kawartha Lakes Police received a call from an observant citizen regarding a break and enter. The caller, intervened after witnessing a male attempting to break into an apartment complex on Albert Street South in Lindsay. Police arrived, as the male fled the area on a bicycle. Police searched the area and with the assistance of witness information were able to locate the male hiding under a fallen tree. The male was placed under arrest for break and enter. At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of break in instruments. 34-year-old Troy Sprague of Lindsay is charged with break, enter dwelling house with intent to commit and indicatable offence, possession break in instruments and fail to comply with probation order. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on July 21, 2022.
