Female arrested for theft of bicycle
On April 14, 2022 the Kawartha Lakes Police were contacted by a resident of Westwood Court in Lindsay for a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle had been locked outside a residence when it was stolen sometime between the 11 and 13th of April. The bicycle had since been located after being sold to a third party. As a result of an investigation police have identified the suspect who sold the bicycle. 41-year-old Pamela Shorey of Lindsay is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, fraud under $5000 and breach of recognizance. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street in Lindsay on May 26, 2022.
KLPS are investigating after multiple reports of mischief to businesses in Lindsay
Since April 13, 2022 the Kawartha Lakes police have received multiple calls for service regarding broken windows at businesses across Lindsay.
On April 13, 2022 at 11:04pm police were called to Kent Street West business after a citizen reported that someone had smashed the exterior glass door of a business at that location.
On April 14, 2022, police received three more reports of broken windows or doors, occurring at two Lindsay Street North businesses and one Lindsay South business. It does not appear that entry was gained at any of the locations. Police are collecting video surveillance. If you live in the area and have security cameras, police ask that you review footage from the evening hours of April 13 into the morning hours of April 14 and contact them with any information you believe could assist.
