Impaired driver arrested
On March 7, 2022 at 4:32PM the Kawartha Lakes Police Service received information from the Ontario Provincial Police about a possible impaired driver traveling towards Lindsay. The vehicle was located by Kawartha Lakes Police and stopped on Glenelg Street West in Lindsay. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment and alcohol readily available to the driver. The officer determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol and placed him under arrest. 63-year-old Robert King of Lindsay is charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on April 14, 2022.
