Male arrested for theft in relation to multiple incidents
On March 6, 2022 at 3:37pm Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a Kent Street West business for a theft in progress. Store staff observed a male as he concealed items in a reusable shopping bag, placing them in his cart. The male proceeded to the exit, emptied his cart and left the store without paying for the items. Police located the male as he exited the store, where he was placed under arrested. At the time of the arrest the male was wanted in relation to multiple ongoing theft investigations which occurred at the same business during the month of January. As a result of the March 6th incident and other ongoing investigations, 46-year-old Jamie Procter of Lindsay is charged with theft under $5000 X4, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 X4 and failure to comply with undertaking X8. The accused has been held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
