Project Pace: leads to Arrests and Drug Charges.

Kawartha Lakes Police Service (KLPS) Drug Enforcement Unit and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit, started a joint Controlled Drugs and Substances Investigation in the fall of 2024.

As a result of the investigation on November 19th at approximately 4pm a traffic stop was initiated in Lindsay by KLPS and OPP with the assistance of OPP K-9 and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT).

As a result of the traffic stop five individuals were arrested and the following was seized:

  • Cocaine 525.3 grams
  • Crystal methamphetamine 28.9 grams
  • Fentanyl 26.5 grams
  • Canadian Currency ($1664.45)

Approximate street value of $67,500 in drugs seized.

32-year-old Jake Breen from Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X3
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime Under $5,000

54-year-old Daniel Lavigne from Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X3
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime Under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation

32-year-old Colin Martin from Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X3
  • Fail to Comply with Probation

53-year-old Frank Pezzo of Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X3

31-year-old Lyndsay Howard of Lindsay is also charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X3

All accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
