Kawartha Lakes Police Service Media Release October 31st 2024
Search Warrant in Lindsay:
Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch with the assistance of The Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Community Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant in the area of Peel Street in Lindsay early this morning.
At approximately 5:20am on October 31st, 2024, the search warrant was executed and as a result of the investigation approximately $979.00 in Canadian Currency, $854.00 worth of Fentanyl and $6700.00 of Cocaine were seized.
As a result of the warrant and investigation Matthew Ruttan a 44-year-old male from Lindsay was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking -Fentanyl
- Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5,000
Braydon Misanchuk a 23-year-old male from Lindsay was also arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5,000 X2
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
