Project momentum results in 6 individuals charged with firearm and drug related offences.

Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch with the assistance of The Ontario Provincial Police Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, K-9 and Community Street Crime Unit, executed two separate search warrants early this morning.

Both warrants were executed at separate addresses in Lindsay, resulting in the arrest of 6 individuals.

As a result of the investigation the following items were seized:

  • 3 handguns
  • 1 shotgun
  • 3 replica handguns
  • 1 CO2-powered arrow rifle
  • Fentanyl 7.04 grams
  • Cocaine 502.61 grams
  • Heroin 387.71 grams
  • Methamphetamine 37.09 grams
  • A large amount of currency ($14,486.70)
  • Ammunition

Approximate street value of $136,634.00 in drugs seized.

Six accused were held in custody and will appear in court today, Tuesday, February 13th, 2024.

32-year-old Chad English of Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X3 (cocaine, Methamphetamine, Opioid other than heroin)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

53-year-old Daniel Lavigne of Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X3 (cocaine, Methamphetamine, Opioid other than heroin)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

 

31-year-old Jesse Lavigne of Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X4 (cocaine, Methamphetamine, Opioid other than heroin, Other drugs)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm X2
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo xX2
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order X3

39-year-old Roy Wadden of Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X4 (cocaine, Methamphetamine, Opioid other than heroin, Other drugs)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm X2
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo xX2
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000

36-year-old Philip Anderson of Cannington has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X5 (cocaine, Methamphetamine, Opioid other than heroin, Other drugs)
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order X3
  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm X2
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo xX2
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Failure to comply with undertaking

 

 

 

 

 

A young offender who cannot be named has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking X4 (cocaine, Methamphetamine, Opioid other than heroin, Other drugs)
  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Unauthorized Possession of a firearm
  • Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammo
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
  • Fail to comply with sentence
