On Monday February 12^th 2024, at approximately 8:30am a staff member from St. John Paul Elementary School in Lindsay located a suspicious object on the school grounds.

As a result, police were contacted and for safety precautions the school was evacuated.

A very thorough search of the school and grounds was conducted by police.  Further investigation of the suspicious object was also conducted.  It was determined that the object is no threat to the public.

There is absolutely no threat to public safety, therefore the scene has been released and the school has been re-opened.
