Stolen Trailer Investigation
Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating after a trailer was stolen from a business Friday morning.
On Friday, October 20, 2023, officers were made aware of the trailer theft from a Highway 35 North business. It is reported that a light couloured pickup truck with an 8-foot box, entered the parking lot at approximately 6:10am, attached the trailer and exited the lot travelling south. The trailer is described as being a black, 2021, Tow Tech, dual axel, 7ft X 12ft, dump trailer.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered
On October 18, 2023, Kawartha Lakes Police entered into a stolen vehicle investigation. When a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck was reported from a William Street North driveway.
On Friday, October 20, 2023, the vehicle was located in a parking lot on Angeline Street North. It was occupied by a sole male who was arrested. At the time of the arrest, he was found to be in possession of pepper spray. As a result of the investigation a 38-year-old Scarborough man has been charged with;
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 X4
- Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code X6
- Fail to Comply with Probation X2
- Carry Concealed Weapon
The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay.
