Theft Arrest

On Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at approximately 7:50am officers responded to a Cambridge Street parking lot where an individual wearing a mask was observed entering a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed a female exit the vehicle. The suspect fled the area, she was located a short distance away and arrested without incident. The female was found in possession of stolen property.

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old Fenelon Falls women has been charged with theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property under $5000. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 26, 2023.

Assault with a weapon arrest

A 22-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after a family dispute.

At approximately 6:00pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 officers were called to a residence in the area of Weldon Court and Northlin Park Road on reports of a disturbance involving a weapon. Upon arrival, officers learned two men had been in a verbal altercation which turned physical resulting in injuries. The victim was transported to Ross Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old Lindsay man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 26, 2023.
