Impaired driver arrested

On Thursday June 22, 2023 at approximately 10:00pm Kawartha Lakes Police received a report of a possible impaired driver on Lindsay Street South in Lindsay. Officers located the vehicle parked in the middle of the road on Bond Street East. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the police service where an evaluation was completed by a Drug Recognition Expert. As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Lindsay man has been charged with operation while impaired. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on August 3, 2023.
