Shoplifter arrested

A 40-year-old Lindsay man is facing theft and possession of stolen property charges.

On November 9, 2022 the suspect entered a William Street North business, he selected numerous items and concealed them in his coat before exiting the store without paying. Officers have identified the suspect with the assistance of video surveillance. On November 15, 2022, Kawartha Lakes Police located and arrested the suspect. Joshua Wicks of Lindsay has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and for failure to comply with undertaking. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on December 22, 2022.
