Assault with a weapon arrest
A 28-year-old Lindsay resident is facing charges after an incident early Saturday morning.
At approximately 1:30AM on Saturday October 29, 2022, officers were called to the area of York Street South on the report that several people were fighting. Upon arrival officer learned that a group of individuals engaged in a physical altercation after exiting a local establishment. An individual attempting to diffuse the fight was struck in the head with a bottle. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 28-year-old Aleasha Lamoureux of Lindsay has been charged with assault with a weapon.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West on December 8, 2022.
Break & Enter
The Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating after a Victoria Avenue North residential break and enter.
On Saturday, October 29, 2022 officers were made aware of the incident when the resident returned home to realize there had been a break and enter. Sometime between 9:30AM and 6:25PM on October 29, 2022, the residence had been entered and rummaged through. A number of items were damaged and items taken. Officers gathered physical evidence from the scene for analysis.
