Theft charges
On Saturday September 24, 2022 at 2:14pm, Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a Kent Street West business in Lindsay for a reported theft. Store staff witnessed a female conceal merchandise in her clothing and leave the store without paying. Officer located the suspect and placed her under arrest. 22-year-old Michaela Davey of Lindsay has been charged with theft under $5000 X2, possession of property obtained by crime X2 and fail to comply with probation order. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 27, 2022.
Impaired driver
On Sunday September 25, 2022 at 12:27am a Kawartha Lakes Police Service constable stopped a vehicle travelling on Kent Street West in Lindsay, in order to investigate the driver for a traffic violation. As a result of an investigation the driver was arrested. 42-year-old Shannon Kelly of Ennismore has been charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus, operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and one charge in contravention of the Highway Traffic Act. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 3, 2022.
Male arrested for break and enter
On Monday September 26, 2022 at 4:15am, Kawartha Lakes Police were called to Mary Street West residence in Lindsay for a break and enter. The caller reported that an unknown male had broke down her door and entered her residence. While inside the male was banging on doors throughout the residence. Officers attended the location and arrested the male. 35-year-old Jesse Cook of Lindsay has been charged with break, enter dwelling commit indicatable offence and mischief under $5000. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on November 3, 2022.
Cash taken during break and enter
The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at a William Street North business in Lindsay. At just after 2:00am police were called to investigate after a door to the William Street North business was smashed, the business was entered and a quantity of cash was stolen. A forensic identification officer attended and collected physical evidence from the scene.
