Theft arrest

On Monday September 19, 2022 at 3:56pm Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a business on William Street South by staff reporting a female had left the store with an item that was not purchased. As a result of an investigation, 33-year-old Lacy Dobbs of Lindsay was arrested and charged with theft under $5000.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 27, 2022.

Theft arrest

On Monday September 19, 2022 at 6:20pm Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a William Street South business for the second time within hours reporting a shoplifter. A male left the store with multiple items that he had not purchased. As a result of an investigation, 32-year-old Andrew Devison of Lindsay has been charged with theft under $5000.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on October 27, 2022.

Stabbing investigation

The Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred overnight in Lindsay.

On Tuesday September 20, 2022 at 3:19am, Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a residence on Lindsay Street South for the report of a stabbing. Throughout the evening the suspect had attended the residence and confronted the victim multiple times, causing him to flee the residence. The suspect located the victim nearby and engaged in a physical confrontation which led to the victim being stabbed multiple times. The victim was transport to the Ross Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. This appears to be a targeted incident and there is no risk to public safety.
