Second arrest made in January 30, 2022 shooting investigation

On May 2, 2022 at 3:40pm members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, Street Crime Unit   conducted a traffic stop on Lindsay Street South as part of an ongoing shooting investigation, originally reported January 30th, 2022. Upon interacting with three occupants of the vehicle, officers arrested a male on an outstanding warrant. While officers dealt with the arrest a second occupant also wanted on a warrant fled the vehicle on foot and was arrested a short distance away.

A search incident to arrest located the following:

  • 10grams of purple fentanyl
  • Quantity of cash

As a result of the investigation, the following parties stand charged with:

Delawno Mason, 27, of Lindsay:

  • Attempt to commit murder
  • Robbery with violence
  • Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Schedule 1 – Fentanyl
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000

Tyler Ballantyne, 24, of Toronto:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Schedule 1 – Fentanyl
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000
  • Failure to comply with release order

 

Anna-Bella Jones, 21, Lindsay:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Schedule 1 – Fentanyl
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000

All of the accused were held for a bail hearing.
