Shooting Investigation Update
Kawartha Lakes Police have arrested a suspect and are seeking a second in relation to the shooting incident which occurred on Peel Street in Lindsay earlier today.
A 29-year-old Lindsay male has been taken into custody, charged with attempt to commit murder, firearm – use while committing offence, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm and possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm. The accused has been held for a bail hearing; he will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 12, 2022.
This investigation is ongoing, police are asking anyone who has information to contact them or if you wish to provide your information anonymously, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit online at khcrimestoppers.com. Anyone who lives in the area of Peel Street and Albert Street North, and has video surveillance footage between 11:00am and 11:30am, on Friday March 11 and can assist is asked to call police at 705-324-5252.

Shooting Investigation
A shooting investigation is currently underway after police received reports of multiple gunshots from a residence in the area of Peel Street and Albert Street just at 11:13am.
Police have located a victim with gunshot wounds, the male been transported to hospital. Police believe this to be an isolated incident with no danger to the public.
