Break and enter investigation

The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating a break and enter that occurred at a business located on Mary Street West in Lindsay. Sometime between 5:30PM on January 13, and 8:30AM on January 14, the front door of the business was smashed to gain entry. Extensive damage was committed to the interior of the business and to property in the parking lot. Video surveillance is being reviewed and physical evidence was located at the scene. The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 705.324.5252. Theft arrest

On Sunday January 16, 2022 at 1:37AM police received a theft from vehicle report. The complaint had entered a Lindsay Street South business and upon returning to the vehicle moments later noticed items had been stolen. Police searched the area, located and arrest a male who was in possession of the stolen property. 30-year-old Mark English of Lindsay is charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 24, 2022.

Female arrested for threatening

On January 16, 2022 at 12:11PM Kawartha Lakes Police Service were called to an Angeline Street North business for an unwanted person. Officers attended the location and learned the unwanted party had become rude and obnoxious with staff and was asked to leave. The individual left voluntarily with officers before becoming uncooperative and re-entering the business. Officers escorted the individual from the property. Officers attempted to assist the individual with transportation, at which point the individual threatened to kill both officers and anyone else.  27-year-old Kendall Anderson has been charged with uttering threat – cause death or bodily harm and with one count in contravention of the Trespass to Property Act. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 24, 2022.

Stolen vehicle investigation

The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is investigating the theft of a vehicle that occurred between 10:00PM on January 16, and 6:20AM on January 17, 2022. A bronze, 2008 Cadillac CST, 4-door with Ontario license plate “CEYH270” was stolen from an Angeline Street South driveway.  The Kawartha Lakes Police Service is asking anyone who may have information about this theft to contact them at 705.324.5252.
