Disturbance call

On Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 12:51pm the Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a disturbance call at a Sussex Street South address.  Officers attended and located an intoxicated male outside of the address. Officers conducted an investigation and the male was placed under arrest. 65-year-old James Graham of Janetville has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, causing a disturbance and one charge in contravention of the Liquor License Act. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on February 17, 2022.

Stolen vehicle investigation

On Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6:42pm the Kawartha Lakes Police responded to a local car dealership for a stolen vehicle report.  It is reported a male party attended the dealership to take a vehicle for a test drive.  The male went through the required process and was given a route to travel. He took the vehicle for a test drive and failed to return.  The vehicle is described as a, 2021, black, Ford Ranger Supercrew pick-up truck with Ontario dealer plate “201 DRR”.
