Search Warrant Nets Smorgasbord of Drugs
A search warrant executed at a Kent Street West apartment this morning resulted in the seizure of heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine, cannabis and Rx drugs valued at approximately $6500. Officers entered the apartment at 5:30am on the strength of a search warrant where one Lindsay man was arrested in possession of a wide variety of drugs. 32 year old Daniel Bruce Gardiner has been charged with four counts of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts of possessing a controlled substance. Mr. Gardiner has been detained in custody pending a bail hearing later today.
Erratic Driving Attracts Attention
A Little Britain man was arrested for impaired driving overnight after his driving attracted the attention of an officer. At 1:30am Thursday October 2nd, an officer observed a 2013 Chevrolet pick-up truck squealing tires as its driver turned a corner in the area of Lindsay Street and Russell Street. The vehicle was seen to weave in and out of its lane as the officer began to follow. The truck was stopped in the area of Kent Street and Albert Street where the driver was subsequently arrested. 36 year old Corey W. Papizzo has been charged with impaired driving, and operating the vehicle with over 80 mg of alcohol. His licence has been suspended for 90 days and his truck impounded for 7.
A small quantity of cannabis marihuana was seized Wednesday evening from a parked car in the area of Wilson Avenue. A resident in the area contacted police at 6:15pm reporting four people smoking drugs inside a parked vehicle. An officer seized a small quantity of marihuana from the occupants, and cautioned four youth for their drug use. Their families were notified of their activities.
