Mischief to Elementary School Police were called to Pope John Paul Elementary School on Orchard Park Road at 8am Thursday morning after an employee noted a rock had been thrown through a school window. A replacement cost of approximately $400 is anticipated.

Cash Float Stolen Police were asked to investigate the theft of money from a Mount Hope Street business Thursday morning. Sometime over the previous 24 hours, a substantial amount of money was taken from an office cash box. The investigation into whether the theft was internal or external continues.

Back Yard Disturbance A Lindsay man was arrested at his residence on the strength of an arrest warrant Thursday evening, October 2nd. On August 2nd police were called to a King Street residence following a back yard disturbance between acquaintances. One individual claimed to have been assaulted by another who had left prior to police arrival. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. 38 year old Mathew Albert Lair has been charged with assault and uttering threats. He has been detained in custody pending a bail hearing later today.
